Determined to Finish the Race

I only have one area during my walk for which I have to go uphill. Only when I walk west from Carefree to Academy Boulevard am I faced with an incline. Now, I would like to say that it doesn't bother me at all. But I am always in a hurry to meet my ride, so I find that I have to diligently apply myself to a fast pace. I am often out of breath by the time I climb this incline to reach Academy. Going south from Academy to Constitution is either flat or downhill, so it's easy going. I feel a sense of accomplishment when I make it all the way to Constitution, but the real work is that first block of uphill climbing from West Carefree to Academy. The Journey Continues

As I have mentioned, it is in my heart to share with you the incredible journey that God currently has me on. A recent seizure changed my life, forever. One of the results is that I find I am on foot a great deal now. This was not my choice, but now I see how God has used it for my good and for his honor and glory. For one thing, it has created a disciplined time for much needed exercise. Not having much access to a vehicle has motivated me to implement a regimen. My name is Leslie Miller. My husband John and I founded Crossfire Ministries nearly 25 years ago in 1992. It was truly a calling from God and every day of our lives from that point on has been devoted to serving our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I am now 70 years old, and my life has been predictable. Busy, but predictable. Get up. Get ready. Work out at Curves. Drive to the mission. I do administrative things for the most part. Design the news-letter. Pay bills. Do flyers. Plan meetings.
