As I have mentioned, it is in my heart to share with you the incredible journey that God currently has me on. A recent seizure changed my life, forever. One of the results is that I find I am on foot a great deal now. This was not my choice, but now I see how God has used it for my good and for his honor and glory. For one thing, it has created a disciplined time for much needed exercise. Not having much access to a vehicle has motivated me to implement a regimen. I have John take me to the Carefree Curves three mornings a week to work out. After my 30-minute work out, I walk west from Carefree to Academy, then south to Constitution, almost two miles. I have friends and family pick me up there to take me on to my various destinations. Sometimes I walk all the way home which is four miles. Out of necessity, I also find myself walking to other locations from time to time.
When I walk down Academy Boulevard to Constitution, it usually takes me about 40 minutes. I found the walk rather boring until one day I realized what a perfect opportunity it gave me to devote time to my precious Lord and Savior. So, I spend the time walking, praying and talking to the Lord. It is absolutely amazing all the things that God brings to my mind as I walk along. So I will be sharing with you “Prayers and Lessons along the Boulevard”. I believe that as I dedicate this precious time with my Lord and Savior that He in turn multiplies my blessings beyond measure. I pray that some of the insights will also bless you.
Psalms 19: 1-3. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. KJV
Lord, thank you for your majesty. Thank you for showing me things through your world. Thank you for talking to me through your handiwork. Show me the things that you want me to know and thing that you want me to share in these devotions. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
