Crossfire Ministries encourages Community Food Response Amid SNAP Benefit Delay

Local nonprofit calls on churches, businesses, and residents to help feed El Paso County families

WHAT:

Due to federal funding delays, November SNAP benefits will not be distributed to Colorado families. This gap will affect more than 75,000 residents in El Paso County, leaving food pantries across the region strained during an already high-demand holiday season.

Crossfire Ministries—a key hunger relief anchor in Colorado Springs—is leading a coordinated community response alongside partners including Care and Share Food Bank, other agencies, businesses, and local churches. The organization is urging community members to donate food, funds, and prayer to ensure families in crisis can access groceries and essentials throughout November.

“No single pantry can meet this challenge alone,” said Renee Beebe, Executive Director of Crossfire Ministries. “Every pallet of food, every donation, every prayer helps our neighbors weather this season with dignity.”
